I have the same problem!! I replaced the actual turn signal switch on the steering column. Problem Persists! Any answers? 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Your turn signal/hazard combo relay is bad. It is located under the dash, left of the steering column at the top of the fuse box. Costs about 45 bucks from the dealer. To get to it you need to remove the screw in the middle of the trim by the drivers door. Remove the two bolts at the bottom of the panel (you can see these by looking up from the floor. Then gently pull off the trim below the instrument cluster (speedometer, etc). Once removed you will find two more screws screwed into the top of the trim. Once these are out pull on the panel to remove. Above the fuses you will see all of the relays. It is the tallest one in the middle (3-4 from the left). Unplug the old, plug in the new and you are good. You should remove the negative battery cable for two minutes before playing with anything electrical in the car because you could deploy the airbags. I however didn't and everything was fine. I had the exact same problem and fixed it in about 20 minutes.
Hope that helps. I had the same problem, but also had some issues in the rear taillight/blinker assembly. I fixed those issues with some components from a junk yard and replaced all bulbs in the system, but the problem persisted. I originally thought it might be the relay, but a friend who owns an automotive electric repair shop told me that 99 out of 100 times it is the switch. I cleaned the switch with contact cleaner repeatedly and let it dry thoroughly, but still had the same problem. I Ohm-ed the switch out and it worked every time for several hundred cycles, so despite what my friend said I was still very reluctant to replace the switch considering its high price. I was about to give up and bite the bullet when I found this site. I took the Jeep to Advance Auto and had to remove the relay, since they didn't have one listed in their system. After checking the system with the part number on the relay we found out it was simply called a "flasher" in their system and that it would take over a week to get it from the manufacturer. So I told them I would try the dealer and reinstalled the relay. Much to my surprise the left blinker has been working ever since. I don't know if there was corrosion or it was a loose connection, but at this point all is working well. I wonder if there was actually anything wrong with these other people's relays or if they had a similar problem? I suggest that anyone with this problem, first remove and reinstall their relay before spending $45.00 on something they may not actually need.
Unscrew the blinker bulb, clean it with a wire brush, and then try it.
Usually a bad turn signal flasher
pull the turn signal lever toward you.
If your 2002 Grand Cherokee turn signal will not work, it is a good idea to check the fuses first. Then, check the bulb in the signal to see if that is lighting at all. Replace the fuse if it is blown.
The turn signal flasher is located in the fuse compartment. The fuse compartment is located under the steering column on the interior of the car. The flasher fuse is round and silver. Hope this helps.
well sometimes it can be because of the computer doesnt recieve signal
The turn signal flasher is what makes the noise and lets the turn signal flash.
Unscrew the blinker bulb, clean it with a wire brush, and then try it.
often the blinker is made to blink faster when there is a bulb burned out
on my blinker turn signal
Get a new blinker unit.
i got the same problem with my 99 Audi a6.
bad signal switch on steering column..
try replacing the blinker under the dash that little box that makes the blinker sound
looking for the fuse number for a 2006 4cylinder honda accord left blinker signal
the clicking sound is the blinker. when you signal to turn with your blinker the light flashes and makes a clicking sound.
on the dash board
