Donkeys are short because of the way they are bred, They actually have a mind of a dog. That is why they sit. There are different breeds of donkeys, Like... I have a mammoth donkey which is the size of a horse and there are regular donkeys which are med. size, there are also miniature donkeys believe it or not. Those are the size of a calf.

Generally, donkeys are not mean. Females tend to be well behaved and gentle mannered while the male donkeys are more excited and unpredictable. All a donkey needs is a good master and a respectable training program.
