l964 it was filmed, it may have been released as late as l965. I can recall seeing it at the State Theater (In Jersey City) in that year. somewhat oddly programs which were essentially edited-down playbooks were sold in the theatre lobby, this is rare with movies but then that was a Disney production. I didn"t like it. I didn"t like the stage version- wouldn"t waste time ont he film of (The Sound of Music) either. One too sweet-talked and the other too phoney. on the second film,nobody in their right mind is bouncy-wouncy or Happy-Go-Luciky about a dog bite! It hurts!=and if from a pet involves a major breach of trust, this is heavy stuff not laugh it off type of mishap like maybe falling in soft snow- quite timely!
