He also read Caesar's will which left most of his property to the people. The people became enraged and rioted. Caesar had been very popular with the middle and lower classes. He was seen as the champion of the people.

∙ 11y agoMark Antony gave the eulogy at Caesar's funeral. By raising in the air the blood stained toga that Caesar died in, Antony was requesting the Roman people to seek revenge on Caesar's killers.

Oh, they love it. Caesar was a great crowd pleaser. You can see that from the attitude of the workingmen in the first scene and the way Antony is able to appeal to the crowd's inherent liking for Caesar.
