While Gandhi is called Father of India, Swami Dayanand is to be called as Grandfather of India since Dayanand is the political father of the Father of the Nation - what Gandhi practised to achieve freedom, Dayanand had preached taught and practised a century ago in 1876 when Mohan Das Gandhi was only 7 years old.

Maharish Dayanand Saraswati is known as the Grandfather of India.

Mahatma Gandhi is called as the Father of India. From that perspective Maharishi Dayanand is rightfully the Grandfather of India since he had prepared the ground for the Swarajya movement in 1857.

A A Aiyangar, the first Speaker of India's Constitutional Assembly had also declared the same that if Gandhi we have declared as Father of the Nation, Dayanand is the Grandfather of the Nation.

Great Indian Historian Pannikar had stated that 80% of the persons fighting for the freedom struggle were from Arya samaj founded by Swami Dayanand.

Examining the historical events and facts, it is but imperative to re-evaluate the status of Swami Dayanand in the History of India and he be constitutional declared as GRANDFATHER OF INDIAwhich rightfully he deserved.
