They released dioxins which have caused health problems for those exposed during the Vietnam War. it was used to kill the thick vegetation in Vietnam so that the Air forces in the sky could see the enemy on the ground.

"Agent Orange is an herbicide (plant killer) composed of 2,4-D and 2,4,5-T. It got its name from the orange-striped barrels that it was shipped in. It was most used in the Viet Nam conflict to kill off the leaves on trees so that the enemy could not hide under those trees.
