You are very ill-informed. Minhas (diminutive of Malhanhans) peasants are Jatts. Minhas Landlords sometimes claim Rajput status, but they are a Jatt clan. Read either Ibbetson or Rose for verification.

Minhas are jatts. Mainly living in Hoshiarpur and Jalandhar,Punjab.

They can be Jatt or Rajput depending on their background. Most of them are actually Rajputs but some families got into agriculture and they 'assimilated' into Jatts.
