Harriet Ross (Better known as Harriet Tubman) divorced John because they both escaped from their masters but John got scared and convinced her along with her brothers to go back. She yet again decided to escape to freedom and John told her he would tell the master if she did. So Harriet decided to escape without telling him and that's exactly what she did. She also brought along her mother and father and her brothers. She later married someone else. John was given to another master and he also married again. He never knew what happened to Harriet. later harriet married nelson davis and they adopted a child and named her gertie
because maybe he felt like it or she did not do what he wanted her to do and that is when he killed her and he did not wanted to see her any more.
