You can take an online course that lasts about 4 hours to learn to pass meds and become a med tech in the state of Florida. The class generally will cost about $85.
I know that a Med Tech. is somebody who is able to pass meds under the supervision of a nurse but I didn't think that you had to be med tech certified to work in a nursing home. I work at a nursing home as a CNA and everybody I work with is a CNA. CNA's only help residents with ADLs and are not allowed to distribute medicines or apply topical creams. I would look into that again because I know for sure you don't have to be a Med Tech to work in a nursing home.

Most walk in clinics offer DOT physicals which will get you a "card" if you pass the physical...most are good for 2 years unless you are on certain med's which may subject you to yearly physicals, i.e blood pressure meds, pain meds, etc...some med's are banned which means you can not be medically certified to operate a commercial vehicle if you are on any of those med's...including certain types of chauffeurs license...
While it is common for meds for seizures, as well as many other meds to cause constipation, it is doubtful that constipation can cause these meds to become toxic in the body. But to maintain proper digestive and intestinal health, as well as good health in general, you need to ask your doctor or pharmacist which laxative they recommend.
Med is short for medical as in med school (or meds for medications). There is no prefix med, but there is a prefix medi- meaning middle, as in median (strip of a highway), medium, medial, mediator, etc..
Yes but you would have to go through med school and specialize in radiology like everyone else, which will take a lot of time. If you wanted to know whether a Rad Tech can just step in and become a radiologist by experience....then no.
