I know that a Med Tech. is somebody who is able to pass meds under the supervision of a nurse but I didn't think that you had to be med tech certified to work in a nursing home. I work at a nursing home as a CNA and everybody I work with is a CNA. CNA's only help residents with ADLs and are not allowed to distribute medicines or apply topical creams. I would look into that again because I know for sure you don't have to be a Med Tech to work in a nursing home.
There are not many differences between residential and nursing homes. They both offer accommodation, meals and personal care. The only difference is with the staff on duty. At a nursing home, they will always have at least one nurse on hand if not more. A residential home will call a medical staff in from an outside agency for medical needs.
An ombudsman is a liasion between patients/families and the nursing home. They investigate complaints about quality of care and living conditions. They also are the contact point for government agencies that regulate the nursing home.

Senior housing typically refers to independent living facilities for older adults, offering amenities and services for active, independent residents. Nursing homes provide skilled nursing care and assistance with daily activities for older adults who require more intensive medical supervision and support. Nursing homes are more focused on providing medical care and rehabilitation services, while senior housing is geared towards promoting independent living for older adults.
depends on how many people are in the nursing home but if you had about 18 people you'd make about 9,000 $
Normally any debts a person has when they die (such as outstanding fees to a nursing home) are paid out of the estate of the deceased person. If there is not enough money in the estate to meet all the debts then the people owed money get only a share of what there is. Relatives do not have to make up the difference unless THEY told the nursing home THEY would pay the nursing home costs (and signed a contract to this effect).
