This is not always true. Some pharmaceuticals are formulated with the intention that they NOT be ingested simultaneously with dairy products...

Some drugs are irritating to the stomach lining or duodenum - and a sufficient amount of liquid ingested with the tablet will "buffer" or slow the absorption of the chemicals.

Depends on the tablets.
