This usually happens after you are numb because you are sitting on your foot for example. Numbnesses like these happen because a weight causes the blood to stop flowing , and therefore it becomes numb. When the blood can start to flow because the weight is lifted, you feel pins and needles. This is completely normal and should not be made a concern out of.

Most likely Neuralgia which is the nerves. It could be a light case of Shingles.
