The belly button can contain small folds of skin, which unless washed and dried can collect all sorts of nasty gunk that eventually can begin to smell. Give it some extra attention while you're in the shower the next time and the problem will disappear.

Your belly button smells weird because bacteria and germs get caught in there from us sweating and bathing. It's also a dark,wet area which germs love to breed in.
maybe you dont wash it.. when you take a shower or bath make sure to wash it

Dirt, sweat, and lint build up. This causes it to smell. After bathing, wet a Q-tip, and gently clean out your belly button. This may not get rid of the smell, but it will reduce it. To much build up can cause an infection. But building to that point takes a very long time.
