I don't think that is what they mean. Personally, when I keep a guy in my life after having something romantic with them its usually cause I still like them and I'm waiting in the wings. For guys from the impression I get from myguy friends is that this is just a prolonged "goodbye". As whack as that sounds its the truth. You have the choice of cutting them off and gaining the upper hand or letting them "stay in touch" and being on their terms and conditions. Not saying that there isn't any hope but....do you want to keep in touch?
