After the bnf change, it is recommended the daily max dose is 6mg tho this can be higher is extreme mental illness, but I wouldnt recommend taking more then that, respiridone can be fatal even at a small dose, please dont do this if this is ur intention, speak to ur dr, stay safe

Can't say for sure- but have first hand exp. with someone taking 8,000 mg. of it at once. Basically about 44 pills of 200 mg.- He took about 2 weeks worth in a matter of a few hours.

Thankfully he was found- and was rushed to hospital.

For the past 4 days he has been hulicinating, not able to eat.

He has to be tied down in bed for his and other people's safety. But he won't stop trying to get out- so most of the day he has to have a vest/straight jacket on as well. He sweats thru his hopital gown and sheet every 2 hours. He has an IV in his arm and tubes up his nose/down his throght. Also has to have a diaper on.

Not sure if he will ever recover or if he will have perm. brain damage.

There isn't one. Mirtazapine a.k.a. Remeron is a so-called NASSA drug, even harder to commit suicide with than SSRI medicines. There have been a few studies, where people have ingested doses from 600 mg to even 2200 mg. Only a few experienced arrhythmia, but apart from that, there were no severe symptoms. This is very individual though, there are some reported deaths from mirtazapine overdose, but it is highly unlikely that one could commit suicide with this medicine.

As with all prescription, they should never be taken unless under the direction of a medical practitioner.
