What is the cause of a clanking when going over bumps in right rear wheels in a BMW325xi?

Most likely taking place due to a suspension dificiency. I would start by looking under the car, look around the axle about where it meets the wheel closest to the soound you're hearing. My hunch is that a strut, arm, or bushing is worn, missing, or otherwise broken thus allowing two metal components to strike one another as the suspension compresses (like when going over bumbs), and thus making a sound. Repairs in this area can range from moderate to extrememe in terms of DIY feasibility and cost at a repair shop. Please note that this sound could be coming from an entirely different area and/or difficiency. Without hearing the sound myself it's just too hard to tell exactly. However, in my experience (non professional) the majority of these types of sounds are due to suspension component failure. Best of luck! RM

Can Chiari Malformation be passed to your children?

There is a genetic component to Chiari Malformation, but it is not directly inherited in a simple Mendelian pattern. However, having a family history of Chiari Malformation may increase the risk of passing it on to children. It is recommended to consult with a genetic counselor to understand the specific risks involved.

How was scurvy treated in 1749?

In Great Britain, sailors were given limes to eat - when aboard long-distance sailing vessels. Thus, they were called "Limeys". The vitamin C in limes prevented scurvy - as this is a disease which results from vitamin C deficiency. Nowadays, just eating some citrus fruits and/or taking vitamin C supplements prevent scurvy from occurring. Scurvy is very rare - in the United States, today. It does occur, however, in less developed parts of the world, especially in Africa.
