A healthy body is a body that is fit. What I mean by fit is that your body is in good shape (no unneeded weight). Your muscles are strong, your hair is shiny, your nails grow fast and don't chip easily, your face has a certain glow to it (from exercising). Does that answer your question ?

Actually, sorry to contridict the above answer, but really? A healthy body doesn't have to be skinny, or "beautiful" as some people think.

A Healthy Body:

A Healthy body would have a BMI of 18.5 to 24.9. Find your BMI here: http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/bmicalc.htm

and then use the calculated BMI based on your height and weight, and you can find out if your underweight, normal weight, Overweight or if your obese.

  • Underweight = <18.5
  • Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
  • Overweight = 25-29.9
  • Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater

But that's not all there is to it. You could be overweight but that doesn't mean your atomatically unhealthy.

Can your run for long periods of time without:

getting chest pain

passing out

blacking out

collapsing

If you can run without any of those things happening, your most likely pretty healthy. My BMI is 25.5 but I can run for about an hour without slowing to a jog, and without getting any kind of pain etc.. [I run every morning and night though]

Anyways. Your healthyness isn't based of your wait...It really isnt!

I'm extrememly healthy, but I'm a little overweight...My hair shines, my nails grow super fast, my hair grows like an inch and a half a week [literally :D] I heal fast- I have 2 nose piercings, 1 was done in January, and one I just got done today, My first one is done healing, and the second one..well I don't know yet, Lol. I get scratches all the time, and they heal within a day or two, same with any kind of cut, Plus, I dont get bruises! Anyways....
