If you men the green gas that was rolled out in the trenches of WW1. this stuff was chlorine gas and it turned into hydrochloric acid on contact with water, so the wetter your skin is the more acid is created. dry skin would be not be affected as severely as damp skin. However if you inhaled this stuff it turned i<span class="cs_misspelled">nto</span> HCL in your lungs an destroys lung tissue.
