Dimensions of wellness typically refer to aspects such as physical, emotional, social, intellectual, spiritual, environmental, and occupational wellness. However, factors like financial status, societal status, or personal appearance are not considered dimensions of wellness, even though they can influence overall well-being. Additionally, dimensions of wellness focus on holistic health rather than purely material or superficial elements. It's important to prioritize comprehensive well-being rather than narrow definitions that exclude essential aspects of health.
The two ends of the wellness spectrum are physical health and mental health. At one end, physical health focuses on the body's condition, including fitness, nutrition, and disease prevention. At the other end, mental health emphasizes emotional well-being, stress management, and psychological resilience. Achieving overall wellness involves balancing both aspects to promote a holistic sense of health.
