It is important and relevant to keep a healthy posture as the service user needs to feel comfortable, and welcomed, if you have an opened posture than your less of a threat. If you have a closed posture this can seem defensive and the service user might not want to come to you to tell you about something or ask you about something as, you seem scary to them. Service users of a health and social care environment tend to be very vulnerable, as this is why they have a care worker with them.

So posture is very relevant to health and social care!
