First I would aske them to meet somewhere to talk. Then when you are together talk to them. You should be able to speak about anything with your boyfriend. If you can't the relationship isn't standing of much in the first place.

If I were you, I'd start off with a 'Hey :)'

If things get boring mid-conversation, use these:

-How're you?

-What's up?

-Any news?

-What music do you like?

-What type of t.v are you into?

-Do you have any brothers or sisters?

-Are you with anyone? ;D

-Have you ever listened to ____?

-Have you ever watched ____?

-Do you like ____?

WARNING: Just make sure you're not too straight-forward with liking them, at least until a few weeks of talking to them a lot. And make sure you show interest in what they're saying to you :) ask them questions about what they're saying to you, and don't lie or pretend you like something they like, they'll be appreciative of you telling the truth and being real about who you are c: show confidence too, but not arrogance!
