Not at all, I just had it. You might have some side affects after the shot but nothing to serious (ex. Headache, tummy ache, and the area where the shot went might get red ) I have Allergies and I get shots for them so I have a few tricks so you won't think about it too much ;) Here's some tips.. 1. Don't look at the needle turn the other way, most people are just afraid of the needle. 2. Have someone in the room with you, it always made me feel better when I had my mind off of the subject. Talking to the nurse while the shot is being given can be helpful also. 3. After the shot the area where it was given might be swollen and red in color, put some ice on it to reduce the swelling and irritation. 4. Take some Tylenol or Motrin before the shot to reduce pain. 5. If you are a parent getting ready for your child to have Tdap tell them it's not that bad because it really isn't. 6. If your child hasn't responded well with shots before in the past offer a reward such as going out for ice cream after or a small toy. Hope the info I shared with you was helpful. Best of Luck for your Tdap shot
It does not hurt when the needle is inserted. It only starts to get sore about an hour after you were vaccinated. It will be sore for a few days and your arm will be stiff. That is completely normal. The injection site may be swollen, hard and red and you may experience body aches, headache, fever, nausea and a general feeling of malaise as well. All normal for the first 72 hours.
I usually get mine in the bottom but they can also be given in the arm, although they hurt more there.
no loosen your arm shots dont hurt
No they do not dont be scared because you don't even feel it. I was terrified when I was getting it but the shot itself does not hurt.

The Tdap vaccine protects against diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis (whooping cough). All of these are serious, potentially deadly illnesses caused by bacteria.
Normally, you would get a booster shot in your arm.
If your immunization is up to date, then you are fine! If not, you should get a tetanus shot ASAP after getting a rusty scrape or puncture wound. If you don't, and you haven't had a tetanus shot in the last 10 years, you can get Lockjaw.
Yes. no special diet is needed.
Children begin receiving vaccines when they are born. As they age, they will receive periodic boosters or new vaccines. At age 11 they will get the TDAP booster and a vaccine for meningitis. It is also recommended that both girls and boys receive the HPV vaccine as well.
