I got mine today and it didn't hurt at all, but you do feel a little sore when you come home....so take some medication to relieve it. And remember take medication before you hurt, the doctors always told me to take it before and not chase the pain, it will make you feel better if you take it right away.

That's another guy, Im another editor. Well basically its what he said, its kinda hurts when you get home. Well, on the first time you try eating, eat soup, or a liquid like food. You probably don't know how to eat with it on, so,yeah. The first time i ate with it was at IHop, and trust me, it wasnt pretty. Anyway, when you expand it(turn the screws and make your teeth wider) it kinda huts. but you will get used to it. If you miss a day and you forgot, you have to turn it twice the next day. The dentist tells you not to, but it's a quicker way of soon getting them off. Hope this helped :]

I am also another editor and i got mine on a couple months ago and it really does not hurt except if you have sesative teeth it might be sore because they have too get it on your teeth very tightly. But when you tightin it daily it doesnt hurt unless its done wrong you get use to it. but i got mine off a couple days ago and it hurts extremely, i was not exspecting it at all, your mouth will bleed but it only hurts while there doing it after a couple hours it doesnt hurt. Dont worry its worth it. hope this helpedd(:

Expander pain may vary depending on weather or not you have a bonded or a removable. Removable expanders can hurt when you have to "activate" them in the morning. It adds pressure, but after 3 weeks or so you should be used to it. Bonded expanders hurt ALOT on the first day you get it. Since it required no "activations" the pressure is constantly the same. Bonded expanders are best for making permanent results. But they both work.

I have expanders currently, and let me tell you, it doesn't that much. actually, NO PAIN at all. The only bad thing is that the wires cut your cheek REALLY bad,REALLY REALLY BAD, so i recommend wax, go to any Walgreen and ask them for wax, before you get expanders by the way. also, i have a gap between my teeth because of my expanders. your cheeks are going to be sore if you dont get wax.

-hoped that helped:DD
