You could but keep in mind that it could also very much change depending on how the baby is measuring at the midway ultrasound. Even then the due dates are just estimates!

How accurate is an ultrasound if you do not remember your period?

If you do not remember the date of your last period you can have an ultrasound to determine your due date. More than one ultrasound throughout your pregnancy may be required because ultrasounds are not always accurate. They could be out as little as a couple of days by a matter of weeks.

How accurate is the ultrasound due date?

They are accurate within 2 or 3 days. But this does not mean that you will have the baby on your due date. Babies can be born any time between 37 and 42 weeks. That is what midwives are taught anyway. With my first my ultrasound said I was due 10 days after my period date but my husband had been away on a trip form the day after conception! Second time around the ultrasound agreed completely, and showed twins. (now 16) == Your last known period date or the date of conception is a better predictor....as all babies are different & you may have an extrememly large or an extremely small baby for it's gestational age, and when compared against babies in the "norm" the due date could be way off.

When did you conceive if your ultrasound says you are fourteen weeks pregnant?

Subtract fourteen weeks (7 days x 14) from the date of the ultrasound.

Is it possible to be further along in your pregnancy than what your ultrasound says?

When they do an ultrasound, they measure the baby's head and that's how they determine how far along you are. So if your baby's head is smaller than average, then they would give you a farther due date; If it's bigger than average they would give you a closer due date. Please remember your due date is an estimated guess, not the actual date you will absolutely deliver It depends how much the difference is and at what stage you have the ultrasound. At six weeks ultrasounds are accurate to within 2-3 days, by 12 weeks they are accurate to within 4-5 days and by 20 weeks they are only accurate within 5-7 days.

Judging by an ultrasound at 8 weeks im due on March 14 which means i concevied on June 21. how accurate is the conception date i was with someone on June 14 and then with someone else the 17-22?

your conception date should be pretty accurate considering u had an ultrasound. you shouldv'e been ovulating around June 21st.

If an ultrasound showed you were 19 weeks 2 days pregnant can you count back to see when you conceived?

Yes, you can estimate the date of conception by subtracting approximately 14 days from the date of the ultrasound. In this case, subtracting 14 days from 19 weeks and 2 days would give you an estimated conception date of around 4 weeks ago.

Is an ultrasound more accurate in dating of pregnancy especially if you do not know your LMP?

Yes, an ultrasound is more accurate for dating a pregnancy when the last menstrual period (LMP) is unknown. The ultrasound will measure the size of the fetus and provide a more accurate estimate of gestational age. It is typically done early in pregnancy for this purpose.

Can a doctor tell whether you are 7 or 10 weeks and be positive?

Yes, with an ultrasound. They can measure the baby and give you a very good date based on that. Ultrasounds are very accurate

If an ultrasound at 14 weeks showed your due date as Oct 2 and an ultrasound at 20 weeks showed the same but a 28-week scan gave a Sept 23 due date could you have conceived before Dec 12?

Absolutely not. The later in pregnancy the less accurate the scan. The first two giving a due date of October 2nd will be correct and give you a conception date of around January 9th.

If an ultrasound says you are 25 weeks 4 days pregnant when in fact conceived 25 weeks 2 days what date should be relied on?

If you know when you conceived you should always go by your date. Ultrasounds, especially later in pregnancy, are not as accurate. Here are the dates that they can be off. The inaccuracy of ultrasound First trimester: 7 days 14 - 20 weeks: 10 days 21 - 30 weeks: 14 days 31 - 42 weeks: 21 days

I went to a clinic on and the doctor said I was 5 weeks and 3 days. The next day I went to the hospital and they drew blood and did an ultrasound and said that I was 4 weeks which is more accurate?

You must have given them two different guesses on your last period date. But the hospital would be more accurate.

If an ultrasound says you are 17 weeks and 3 days pregnant is that the day you conceived or would it be that date plus an extra 2 weeks?

That means it is the date conceived (or within 48 hours of). It is never right on, but within a week of. Go by what the ultrasound says. No, if your ultrasound says 17 weeks and 2 days that would be that date plus 2 extra weeks, that is around the time of your last period, unless you have irregular periods or conceived straight after a miscarriage or something. The length of pregnancy is always measured from your last period even by ultrasound.
