That is not completely true... you have to defeat Darkrai and after that u will have to sleep a few days wenn suddenly Chatot comes telling Manaphy returned and Manaphy will join ur team. After a few days of sleep Manaphy will tell u that he found the Marine Resort and you will get the location on the map. After getting the location u can evolve ur STARTER POKEMON!
you get palkia , evolve your main characters ,get master rank and....
