In the Seafoam Islands in Kanto, you can catch Snorunt, a rare Ice type, it only comes out at night due to the Pokedex entry: It only comes out at midnight. It is also obtainable in the ice room of the Shoal Cave in R/S/E and in D/P/Pl you catch it at: Acuity Lakefront, Route 217, Lake Acuity, and Route 216. They only come out in snowy areas becaus eanother Pokedex entry says: It eats snow to survive.
