IF you mean blue rescue or red rescue, the Celebi will join without a fight, but that's the only one, and he is DEADLY HARD to get to. you remember the dungeon you enter alone at level one without items? It's called purity forest, and it has 98 floors, the 99th has Celebi. If you mean time or darkness, nobody joins without a fight. some have a 100% recruit rate, but you still have to battle them.
