What to do? Go to eBay and look for a new PSP housing. Keep in mind that it's important to look for the right model. There are 3 PSP's now. PSP-1000, PSP-2000 and the PSP-3000.
Search for things like: PSP-2000 replacement Housing, PSP-2000 replacement. etc etc
I think you have to buy a whole new housing because I've never seen those little parts like the volume button for sale. Good luck! and go find a cool new color for your PSP.

It is not 'on' the PSP, it is something on special routers. The PSP is asking you to press the button on the router, not locate a button on the PSP.

Notice how the screen slides up? Search behind it. And you'll find the volume buttons. Along with the mute button, And screen brightness adjustment button. Note that you can press there buttons while the psp go screen is down, I just made it easier to find them, That's all.
