From 1989 to 1996, SEGA and Nintendo were at each others throats. After SEGA left the hardware business in 1999-2000 holiday season, Nintendo agreed to let them help the design games. They recently released a couple games for the PC.
Game Freak is a Japanese video game developer best known for creating the Pokémon series. It was founded by Satoshi Tajiri and Ken Sugimori in 1989. Initially starting as a fanzine, Game Freak transitioned into game development, collaborating with Nintendo to launch the first Pokémon games in the late 1990s. Today, Game Freak continues to develop Pokémon titles alongside other projects.
