The only reason your custom content does not show in body shop, it is because you have downloaded from the internet . You must find your games body shop and create parts there.
[p. s. It has happened to me also..]
make sure you downloaded it correctly you need to extract it with winrar if you downloaded it correctly then when you enable custom content it should show up when you left click one of you teen or adult sims.
To open your body shop you must : 1)Open all the programs (on the main menu) 2)Find the EA Games 3)Open it 4)Choose the game you want body shop for 5)Click on this game 6)Then, the word body shop will come up click on it 7)Body shop will open in some minutes (if it is late, just wait it will show up) Hope I helped
If you have official firmware you can only play demos If you have Custom firmware you can play all kinds of games So You Don't have custom firmware
I'll take my time to tell you my experience, but with it, a discovery (sort of)I used to download custom content from this site (the original site), I used to download it into the correct file and had gone through re-installing my game twice, and shutting down my computer several times. Whenever I used to download CC, It used to get downloaded and when I would go to the game, only the make-up and the eyes would show up, the rest used to be replaced by proxies which was very frustrating. One day, I had gotten the full CC to show up and I was literally celebrating that moment, then when I had gotten sleepy, I shut off the game, and with it, my computer. The next day, I went back onto the computer and went to Sims 3, the CC was not showing up again, it was replaced with proxies! I searched all day for a solution and yes, I found one. It was posted by 'CCLEO' (I mentioned the user name to thank this user).... The user posted several tips and one of them was how to enabled custom content. You have to go to the Game Launcher, and then to the 'Installed Content' tab. Then, you have to check a box which says 'Run with Custom Content'...Then a message appears, ignore the message, just click the tick button to continue...WAIT, the story doesn't end here...I was overjoyed to find out how to enable the custom content...So I went to my game but...huh!?.....The custom content still wasn't working?I went to the button which has three dots on it, I clicked 'Open Launcher'...the game was minimized and the launcher was opened, I went to see if my box was checked and it was, I went back to the game and the CC appeared out of the blooms....Till this day, I open the launcher while the game is playing, then I go back to the game without closing the launcher and my CC is just there without a drop of sweat...So, if your problem is similar to mine, just follow what I did and still do....
For The Sims 1: Unknown. For The Sims 2 (with any combination of expansion packs):Step 1) Ensure the downloaded Sim's .package file and the custom skin are both in your 'C:\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads' folder.Step 2) Start The Sims 2, enter a lot, create a Sim, select the premade (downloaded) Sim. Your downloaded Sim should appear at the front of the premade Sim page, with a blue star-like icon at the top of the Sim's picture. Select the Sim downloaded Sim.Step 3) Go to the tab where you choose your Sim's name.Step 4) Select a 'Custom' skintone. A list showing the custom texture you downloaded should appear. This process applies to non-downloaded (default) Sims, as well. Please note: If the downloaded Sim uses a customized mesh (body model)/texture (skintone) combination, you will need to have a skintone that is made specifically for that mesh. Furthermore, a custom mesh cannot use any default Sim hair/eye colors or any hair/makeup/clothes. Basically, you can only use what it came with, or additional custom content made specifically for that mesh. Finally, A custom skintone will not show up for a default Sim model if it is made for a custom model.
it means you do not have the mesh needed for the clothing to show up.
Though there is not a reality or informational show about an auto body shop, there is a fiction show called "American Body Shop", where a divorced auto body shop owner tries to keep his business in line against all odds. Although fiction, many reviews say this is very close to reality in alot of auto body shops.
I believe they get them specially made for the show and didn't go to any shop to buy them but they were custom made.
Forever 21, Hot topic but most of there clothes they where doing show Time is custom made
You probably don't have it installed onto your game. What you do is go to documents and go into your sims 2 folder and make a folder called downloads. you put all your stuff in there, for some items you have to open body shop and extract it.
Real Sims 2 custom content must be installed. as an add in to the game. when you download the file the icon should be a dark blue circle with a light blue person inside it. You must execute this file just like an installation file to add the content into the game.
There are no unlockables. There is a certain button in "build and buy" mode that reads 'show custom content only', and it does not let you click on it, neither does it let you click on the non custom content in the create-a-sim mode, so you might consider that an unlockable, but that might be able to be fixed with a cheat or in the main menus somewhere, but i have not found out how yet.
I could take forever to explain it to you, or i can show u a link that will show it to ya, but the video shows u to use paint, you cant also use photoshop or any program like that! Here is a link, its really good! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pycKFIrGRdo
You must disassemble it and paint only the outside of the receiver with the proper paints or take it to a pro shop. There are many sites that can show you how to do this properly like techpb.com
make sure you downloaded it correctly you need to extract it with winrar if you downloaded it correctly then when you enable custom content it should show up when you left click one of you teen or adult sims.
