Multiple reasons why some of the main is that they are from the same egg group and can mate as well as both evolve from happiness thus if a rilou and bunneary grew to love each other and become happy they would evolve. Makes for a sweet story as well as both being humanoids it looks aesthetically pleasing.
Or, People just think Lucario and Lopunny look like they r made for each other.... Or something like that. That is what i think.
