If it doesn't have a slot on the top of it then you probably bought Action Replay DS, not Action Replay DSi. To use Action Replay DS you type in the code you want, check-mark the codes you want to use, then pop out your Action Replay DS ( while the DS in on!) and pop in the game you have the codes on for, then press start game. If you have Action Replay DS then when you pop out your Action Replay it won't freeze, so you can still start up your game with the codes.
You don't. You insert the Action Replay into the DS, and start it up. When prompted, you remove the Action Replay, and then insert your game into the DS. If your AR had the appropriate codes, the game will be recognized and the cheat options will be available. edit: The above information may be true, depending on what type of action replay you own. There is also a kind that has a slot at the top for you to insert a DS cartridge in it. In this case, you just insert the AR between your DS and the game card.
It is any number of action replay codes that allow the top item in your inventory to be come almost anything (and often 999 of the item, too).
If you're using an action replay, look at the bottom left of the top screen when Pokemon pearl is in the action replay. The number and letters there are the game ID. Once you have Arceus flute (I'm not entirely sure how you get it because I have Action Replay) go up to the spear pillar at the top of Mt. Coronet (were you find Dialga). Play the flute there and a steep staircase should appear. Go up it and Arceus will be at the top. It is Level 80 so be sure to have a tough Pokemon in your first slot. Hope I helped. :-D
Slot 1 is the slot at the top of the DS, for DS games. Slot 2 is the slot at the bottom of the DS, for GBA cartridges.
if for Nintendo ds then insert the action replay then insert the game in the slot on top with the sticker facing you
into the ds slot as if it were any other ds game and then put the game u want to play using the action replay into the slot on the top with the paper facing u
Your have to imput the codes first then take it out and insert game and press start
the action replay should have a chip (that is the same size as a dsi game chip), and you have to put it in like a normal game. And on top of that chip, there will be a slot to put in a game chip, so put any game in there. When you turn the dsi on, the action replay activator will be in the game slot, so click on that. And then there will be a list of various dsi games, and you will have to find the one that is in the action replay slot. After you click on the name of the game chip, there will be different codes for different things in the game. You can also add codes by clicking add codes in the left hand top corner.
you have to restart the action replay.
open the top

You don't need to install it. Take the Action Replay, insert the game card you are going to play into the slot at the top of the Action Replay. Then when you put in the Action Replay in the DS Card Slot and play the game, you will see a codes screen. From this screen, select the game and codes you would like to turn on or input and then play the game. The cheats will then be activated. Warning: Do not put on too many cheats. It may cause the game to glitch or cheat. The game or your DS could get hacked or damaged from some codes or the Action Replay itself. Use at your own risk.
