Well, the big reason is because both of them are too young to marry. Back in the Classic and Dreamcast Era, Sonic is irritated by her, always chasing him or hugging him. However, Sonic has stopped running away from her after Sonic Unleashed came out and he has shown some feelings towards her from then.
