There are many reasons why your Sims is shutting down but, it is usually because these certain reasons. Either you are hitting one button that can shut down your certain computer. Or it is that when you downloaded stuff for your Sims you might have got a glitch that is messing it up. So check these 2 things and if they are not the problem make sure there is nothing wrong with your disc!

Im afraid, if your computer does shut down when your playing then there is not a lot you can do. If you don't save your game regularly, then you will lose all of your data aswell. If your computer does shut down, then just switch it back on again and hopefully your sims game will still be running.

Sims 3 is sensitive to your graphics card. If your graphics card is not good enough, sims 3 will shut down. there are various on-line boards that discuss the issue but it seems they commonly point to a necessary upgrade to either your whole computer, or a replacement of your graphics card.

For the ipod or I phone the first sims 3 is not that great. But for the ipod or iphone their is Sims 3 ambitions and Sims 3 world adventure, both of them are very good, + they are less money! The Mac/PC games for Sims are all fantastic. Just one glitch problem, sometimes they shut down with you not wanting to. Well, you could shut down your whole computer. But if you didn't save any of your progress, I suggest you just wait and see what happens. If it's been more than an hour there's a problem with the Sims 3/ or Sims 2 on your computer. You would have to shut down your computer. Sorry to say that! If you did save your progress, I think it would still be lost because of shutting down your computer. I'm not sure because this has never happened to me before.
