Why aren't there any Game Boy Advance pearl an diamond in the US some kids can't afford a ds?

The sad reason for that is because it came out when the DS was new. They hope to make more money that way....I am sorry but there isn't much of a chance they will make it for Gameboy because that is the older version. My only advice is save up and then buy a DS, you can even play your gameboy games on it. I am sorry but the Pokemon company think they will make more money this way and the DS has much better graphics, etc. More people have the DS than the Gameboy so it isn't likely that they will make any for Gameboy.
