They are all equal in power, it just depends on what type you prefer to work with. If you are good with water pokemon choose Blastoise. If you are like me then you love fire and you should go with Charizard. But if grass types are you thing then Venasaur is your pokemon. They all have their own pros and cons just like with any other pokemon.
blastoise hydro pump owns and so does bubble beam charizard heat wave owns with flying and dragon rage venasaur solarbeam owns and it has sleep powder that sleeps they're all good
Theyre all really neutral, but if you want to put it in challenging form - Charmeleon grows up to be fire and flying. Focuses on Special Attack and Speed. Ivysaur grows up to be Grass and Poison. Focuses on Special Attack and Special Defense. Wartortle stays a water type. Focuses on Defense and Special Defense. They're still all neutral types. Such as, Charizard can beat Venasaur, Blastoise can beat Charizard, Venasaur can beat Blastoise. Though id have to recommend Charmeleon/Charizard, considering he is half flying, he'll be quad effective against venasaur, and he wont take 100% of the heat on a super effective water attack because of the half flying attribute.
teach your starter Pokemon its ultimate move but needs to be a high level. venasaur=frenzy plant charizard=blast burn blastoise=hydro canon
Charmander evolves into Charmelion (sp?) who evolves into Charizard. There is no further evolved form of Charizard. Except for metal charizard in the upcoming games. This was announced in a chain email sent around the office (i work for Nintendo) to try and keep us interested in the project. I personally am very excited about it as charizard was always my favourite Pokemon. Venasaur is getting a wooden form and blastoise is getting a stone form, so hopefully you should be very happy. I hope you buy the new games!
Never in any Pokemon game can you catch a starter but hold on if you migrate a blastoise and charizard from firered or leafgreen to soul silver and then go to the pal park you can catch it.
