Instead of convincing parent(s) that "Play is learning", you may want to focus more on the fact that children can learn more effectively "Through" play. We all pay more attention to the things that intrigue us and "Play" is what intrigues children the most. It takes an effective and responsive teacher to be able to "Teach" lessons through childrens play.
