I used rock smash in the ruins where the unknown are. I used it on one of those little breakable rocks AND out popped an old amber.it has something to do with arodactyle or however you spell it,you take it to the pewter city museum in kanto and they will do something to it you have to come back later (i dont know how long) and it can be revived in to arodactyle hope this helped :)oh by the way the one abover this is the one that is true co i have done it myself :)To clear up any lingering confusion:Old Amber CAN be found in Soul Silver by using rock smash on the small rocks around the Ruins of Alph.
