Where is the Journal in Viridian city in Pokemon Leafgreen I need it for the fame checker but it's not in the school above the Pokemon Center?

Normally things like that are available in some of the Pokemon centres. Go into any Pokemon Centre and you will see a small bookshelf to the left of the healing counter. Just walk up to it and press A to read what is on the shelf. Some Pokemon Centres give you a message outlining what magazines and books are on the shelf, but others give you information for your Fame Checker. There are a few articles from the Pokemon Journal or other such magazines in a few different centres. Check them all as no one centre will repeat information which was given in another (although there are a few that do not give information at all).
