Earthbound is on Nintendo's Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It is also on the Gameboy Advance as a compilation of Earthbound and the previous game Mother(Japan only). The Gameboy Advance game titled Mother 1+2 was only released in Japan and has all Japanese text. (Go for the SNES version.)

Yes, there is. The reason you might be doubting this is because the advertising SUCKED. The game is my 4th fave game of all time. It is an SNES game, so you have two choices, legal or illegal. This is not avaible for the virtual console on the wii. You either need to use a snes emulator and earthbound rom, which i just learned is illegal. Or you can get a legit version of the game.

Why is earthbound SNES is rare?
It's an old game that didn't sell extremely well in the americas. The game became more popular with the release of Super Smash bros for the nintendo 64, and people bought the the remaining american versions of earthbound to try it out, and very few people will sell their used copies.
