Hi, I'm Oliver and I come from Germany. In my oppinion the TTDS is at present not illegal. Only the download of the games (.nds) are not allowed. (You can become them from friends or other person...) Chips like M3 are not good for Nintendo, because they have video and picture functions. This functions are very risky fore the sale of DSi. When you will have pictures on the TTDS, you must download illegal programms, so the TTDS isn't very interesting for Nintendo. At present they will forbid the M3... If you want to play gba games on a ttds then you need a gba emulator compatible for the ttds but i don't think there is one.

The TTDS can't work on the 3DS console. But there is a new TT 3DS card, which can run DSi games perfectly on Nintendo 3DS console.
