Yes...contact Activision Customer Support and if it is within the warranty period, they will replace it. My son lost his usb, I contacted Activision on 1300 748 995, and they said you can send a money order or cheque for $20 to skylander returns po box 873 epping nsw, 1710, and they will send you one!!! So glad i dont have to buy the starter pack again, phew today: July 19, 2012 I just contacted activision via phone @ (310) 255-2050 and this is what they emailed me with a case number (you have to call them to get the case number): Thanks for contacting Activision Support, I understand that you have lost your wireless receiver and are looking to purchase a new one. All you have to do now is send in a check or money order of 10 Dollars to the address that I will attach below. How do you install the portal of power?
I assume you are talking about Skylanders. The game comes with instructions that tell you how, but I will tell you anyway. Once you have the batteries put into the portal, unplug the USB from the portal and put it into the back of your game system. Then press the little black button on the inside of the portal and the black button on the USB. Next, screw the battery compartment shut and press the power button on the outside of the portal. You may need to press and hold, but the LED lights on the portal will flash and turn on and you can now start the game.
How can you sync your kids skylanders power portal for the wii it will not sync and you did everything in the troubleshooting changed batteries etc?
I struggled with this same problem for 2 days. Batteries changed, followed the directions through time and again--but no luck. I couldn't get past the "sync" screens in the actual game and the website had no other solutions. I finally decided to try "syncing" without the skylanders game in the console. I had my child play another game. I pressed the button on he USB plug and it stayed solid red light, then I pressed the power button on the portal and it stayed solid red light. We then switched the discs in the console to the skylanders disc and reset the wii console and it has worked fine since. Hope this helps others that have had problems--I was ready to return the portal and USB to Activision.
