This fall, Activision will launch Call of Duty: Elite. It's being developed by Beachhead, the new studio Activision announced it had formed earlier this year (although Elite has apparently been in development for two years). Elite isn't a game. It's a service meant to enrich Call of Duty's multiplayer experience. see related link

The COD Elite gives you a huge data profile about your online stats, matches etc. If you do not have xbox live, there are no stats to gather.
