When does left 4 dead down loadable content come out?

Downloadable content (DLC) is regularly announced by Valve through their website (valvesoftware.com) and their download service, Steam. It is intermittent and not based around a set schedule, unless stated by Valve. They plan to continue to support the game through new DLC, which is free to download if you own a legit copy of the game.
