Planet Reach being attacked by the covenant.
It wasn't exactly blown up. It was glassed, but not in the normal way, either. Glassing is sending streams of plasma down on a planet, and the heat created wipes out most life forms on the planet, sometimes making material (including organic material) into glass, hence its name. However, Reach was a bit different. The covenant detected forerunner artifacts on the planet, so they didn't completely glass the planet, as they were afraid completely glassing the planet would destroy the forerunner artifacts they held so dear. They only glassed the major military sights, leavinglarge pockets of life on Reach.
Yes, Halo reach is the prequel to the halo series, it takes place a matter of weeks before halo 1 and tells the story of the Spartans fight against the Covenant invasion on the human military planet reach, the games story will inform any fan or player to the events leading up to Masterchiefs rise and descent to the pillar of autumn, the starting location of the first halo game and how the chief came to be the last living spartan. It's a prequel to the 1rst Trilogy. It's not a prequel to Halo Wars.
It goes: Halo Wars, halo reach, halo 1 , halo 2, halo odst then halo 3. But there's a fourth halo coming out soon that it not made by bungie. If you want to know how it all started read the first halo book; contact harvest. It's quite good and explains a lot. By the way, planet Harvest was the first to be raided with the covenant. Only because it's the furthest planet from Earth.
The story is about aliens coming out of space and trying to invade a human settlement called Reach. Details haven't been released yet, but you play as one of the seven members in a military group known has Noble Team. This group goes across the planet called reach, and try to stop the aliens known as The Covenant.
Sgt. Forge sacrificed himself to detonate a slipspace drive aboard the Covenant ship, destroying it above the planet Harvest in the Halo franchise. The planet was not blown up, but the Covenant ship and a significant portion of the planet were destroyed in the process.
you have to have a colony ship then just send it to a planet

No. There are no re-launch capabilities on the planet Mars at the present time.
A person would need to be on the planet Mars for at least 18 months before they could return home because of the launch window. It would take about 8 months to reach the planet and then another 18 months on the planet until the next launch window to open.
