Mostly normal types. There's a bird, a dog, the meercat. I'm not sure if you can find shaking grass that early, but if you see some you may be able to catch Audino. You can also pick up a monkey before battling the gym (If you have fire starter you get grass, water you get fire, and grass you get water).
