Returning Pikmin:
Red Pikmin- immune to fire (medium speed)
Yellow Pikmin- immune to electricity (medium speed)
Blue Pikmin- immune to water (medium speed)
Purple Pikmin- immune to wind,odor, and knockback panic(now have a purple onion) (quarter past speed)
White Pikmin- immune to poison(now have a white onion) (full speed)
Rock Pikmin- immune to weak blunt force and being crushed (medium speed) (onion and spirites are now black)
Winged Pikmin- immune to ground hazards(quarter to speed)
Bulbmin- immune to acid(medium speed) (now have a green onion)
New Pikmin:
Ice Pikmin- immune to ice(medium speed) (cyan onion)
Metal Pikmin- immune to knockback panic and being crushed ( gray onion)
Captains:
Olimar, Louie, The President, Alph, Brittany, and Charlie.
Spaceships:
S.S Drake(Alph,Brittany,and Charlie), the Hocotate ship(Olimar and Louie), and the S.S Dolphin(The President).
Areas:
Tropical Wilds, Garden of Hope, Distant Tundra, Twilight River, Formidable Oak, Valley of Repose, Awakening Wood(Forest of Hope music), Perplexing Pool, Wistful Wild(final trial music), and The Forest Navel.
Story:
When the explorers returned home, Koppai and Hocotate began a space signal called The Koppai and Hocotate Signal Network and they got cutoff forcing a debt to be repayed. The President buys the S.S. Dolphin back and him, Olimar, Louie, Alph, Brittany, and Charlie to go to PNF-404. Then when they did landing gear, a dangerous asteroid collides and the ships and captains fell from space. This is the landing sites for each ship and captain. Olimar and the S.S. Drake Land in the Tropical Wilds, The President and the S.S. Dolphin land in the Awakening Wood( as seen in the ending of Pikmin 3), Louie lands in the Distant Tundra, the Hocotate Ship lands in the Twilight River, Alph lands in the Perplexing Pool, Brittany Lands in the Valley of Repose, and Charlie lands in the Wistful Wild.
Ending:
The explorers go back to their planets and pay the debt and they save the network.
Modes:
Story Mode, Challenge Mode, Bingo Battle(same music from 2 player battle from Pikmin 2), Options, High Scores, Bonuses, and Movie Mode( which plays what happened in all 4 games).
