After defeating the Elite 4 they will travel onward through the Kanto Region, helping people, earning 8 more gym badges, stop another Team Rocket Grunt, while restoring power to a powerless region, and culminationg with defeating Red, who defeated the Kanto Gym Leaders, Team Rocket, And the Elite Four a mere 3 years ago. All this time, training and bonding with their pokemon.

In Pokémon Black 2, in order to get to the Champion Cup or the Pokémon World Tournament's Champions Tournament, you will need to defeat the Worlds Leaders tournament a minimum of 10 times. The World Leaders tournament will be unlocked once you have beaten the Kanto Leaders, Johto Leaders, Hoenn Leaders, Sinnoh Leaders and Unova Leaders tournaments.
I think so. (I'm currently trying to beat the Elite Four's Champion, so I haven't gotten that far yet) I do know that the first thing you do in Kanto is challenge the Elite Four.
There is no way to get Professor Oak to call you on your Pokégear Phone in order to alert you of Team Rocket in the Kanto region in Pokémon HeartGold. A Professor does call you to inform you on Team Rocket taking control of the Radio Tower in the Johto region in Goldenrod City after receiving 7 Gym Badges after defeating 7 out of the 8 Gym Leaders there however Team Rocket never takes over the Radio Tower in the Kanto region in Lavender Town at any point during the game.
