Golbat is a Poison-Flying type, so it is weak to Rock, Electric, Psychic, and Ice. These types of attacks will do 2X damage. Since moves are more powerful if the Pokemon is the same type, that means that any Rock, Electric, Psychic, or Ice type Pokemon with a powerful same-type move would be super effective.
So, for instance, an Onix, which is Rock-Ground with a Rock Throw, Rock Tomb, Rock Slide, or Stone Edge move, would do double damage (although those moves have varying levels of power and accuracy).
This of course is easier if you are the same or higher level than it.

I would say give it a soothe bell to hold, feed it the kind of poffins it likes, and battle with it alot. But make sure it doesnt faint.
