What is wrong with subeta?

First of all this question is too vague. Depends what you mean as wrong. Morally wrong, or with the actual servers on Subeta?

Moral

If the question is about moral..

Than their are certain rumors that pertain to Subeta, as is for any site ever made and popular. Being a member of the site is free, though you can choose to pay for special items from their cash shop, which helps fund the site. The items are by no means exclusive, though, and you can buy them from usershops as well with the standard form of money on the site (sP).

A rumor, though, has spread to some degree. "If you don't pay for Subeta.net, your account will be frozen and your IP address banned". This is entirely untrue, and all accounts are fair game when it comes to clearing accounts/pets, which is VERY sparse, and is pre-announced, as well as with STRICT guidelines to what is and isn't removed. Take other online games, like Neopets or Gaiaonline. You DON'T have to pay to be a member, but they accept donations because it costs money to maintain servers and bandwidth.

Other people think that Subeta.net is a rip-off of Neopets, though they often fail to understand that Neopets, as well as all pet sites, follow a very simple "format" that is pleasing to users. If a site tried to be "unique" to these major points such as having pets based off of real animals, or adding color variety to these pets, users would either leave the site, or request that they be implemented. It is similar in some ways, though it is now taking steps to correct these visual problems:

1. The Map has been updated and changed, no longer in the form of a "world".
   
2. The Pets are being redesigned one at a time.
3. The Minions look similar to the Petpet, though there isn't a form of Petpetpet on subeta.
4. The way you pay for goods (items, food) in the main shops, is similar to the way you pay stuff in Neopets. You have to haggle the price for the item you want. Plus the shops are being constantly restocked, and are sometimes empty.
5. Users shop layouts look similar. Plus the use of galleries is another similarity.

Technical Errors

On a technical note.. The site has experienced a lot of downtime in the past year because the programmers were making a lot of changes to the script. This to ensure that pages load faster, and works better. Nowadays, just about everything has been updated, and unannounced downtimes last less than a minute, while announced ones usually are only 10 minutes to an hour, depending. If you are experiencing a downtime, just grab a cup of tea, something to eat, take a dog for a walk, or go to another site.
